The high-quality vinyl base was selected for its ease in residue-free removal prior to returning a rental vehicle, yet has remained legible and intact for more than six months during testing in a dedicated recce car.

Pro-tip 1: Do not assume that by centering the steering wheel that the actual steering rack is centered; rental/recce cars are rarely aligned properly. Drive straight for a short distance to find the actual center of the rack before taping the centering mark on the wheel. Then place your corners relative to that center tape.

Pro-tip 2: When placing the front-sight (center marker above the gauge cluster), place your head centered against the seat rest and alternate closing one eye and then the other to ensure your marker is centered.

Pro-tip 3: Save yourself aggravation; do not fully wrap the ends of a tape marker around the wheel until you are confident in its placement.
